Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie

All creations by Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie are produced on a bespoke or made-to-order basis. By placing an order or submitting a deposit, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions.

 

Final Sale Policy

Due to the bespoke and made-to-order nature of our creations, all orders are final.

Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie does not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds under any circumstances once an order has been placed.

Deposits

A deposit is required to initiate the design and production process.

Once production has begun, all deposits are strictly non-refundable.

The deposit secures the sourcing of gemstones, materials, and the allocation of workshop production time.

​

Final Payment

The remaining balance must be settled upon completion of the piece, not upon delivery.

Clients will be notified when the creation has been completed and is ready for collection.

If the final balance is not settled within 30 to 45 days of completion notification, the order will be considered forfeited. In such cases:

• The deposit will not be refunded.

• The commissioned piece will remain the property of Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie.

Installment Payments

In certain cases and upon request, installment payment arrangements may be approved.

Such arrangements are granted at the sole discretion of Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie and must be agreed upon prior to the commencement of production.

Design Ownership & Intellectual Property

All designs, sketches, renderings, CAD models, and finished creations produced by Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie remain the intellectual property of the Maison.

Clients may not reproduce, replicate, modify, or commission third parties to reproduce any Karlito design.

Design Approval & Modifications

Prior to production, clients will approve the final design.

Once a design has been approved and production has begun, modifications may not be possible.

If modifications are technically feasible after production has started, additional costs and production delays may apply.

Gemstone Characteristics

All gemstones used by Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie are natural unless otherwise specified.

Natural gemstones may exhibit variations in color, tone, and inclusions, which are inherent to their formation and contribute to their uniqueness.

Minor variations between sketches, renderings, and the final piece should be expected.

Gemstone Sourcing & Substitutions

Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie works exclusively with natural gemstones, many of which are rare and sourced individually for each creation.

In certain circumstances, and due to the nature of gemstone sourcing, specific stones may become unavailable during the production process. In such cases, Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie reserves the right to substitute gemstones with stones of equivalent type, quality, color, and overall aesthetic, provided that the integrity of the original design is preserved.

Such substitutions may occur without prior notice, when necessary to maintain production timelines and design continuity.

Production Timeline

Production timelines are estimates only.

Completion times may vary depending on gemstone sourcing, technical complexity, and workshop scheduling.

Delays related to rare gemstone acquisition, artisanal craftsmanship, or unforeseen workshop circumstances may occur.

 

Client Communication

Timely communication from the client is essential to the design process.

Delays in approvals, stone selections, or other required decisions may affect the overall production timeline.

 

Collection & Shipping

Our preferred method of delivery is in-person collection in Dubai.

On rare occasions and at the sole discretion of Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie, shipping may be arranged for a client. This must be explicitly agreed upon in advance and should not be assumed as part of the order process.

If shipping is arranged, additional terms and insurance arrangements may apply.

 

Taxes & Duties

All prices are subject only to UAE VAT where applicable.

For international orders, Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie is not responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges imposed by the destination country.

Clients are responsible for complying with the regulations of their local jurisdiction.

 

Care & Maintenance

Fine jewellery requires proper care.

Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie may offer repair or maintenance services when possible. Such services may incur additional costs depending on the nature of the work.

 

Storage

Pieces not collected within 45 days of completion notification may be subject to storage fees.

 

Order Acceptance

Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie reserves the right to decline or cancel any order at its discretion prior to the commencement of production.

Amendments to Terms
Karlito – Maison de Haute Joaillerie reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.​​​

 

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
